Postby DentWoman on Wed May 16, 2007 9:59 pm

IF you have mad skills, please PM me with your experience and companies, references etc.
I need two professional techs with at LEAST 5 years Hail experience for two storms we currently have setup, with another in the process of setup.
Pay is 60% of the net, and average income per tech is $1500/day.

So, who is DentWoman on this forum? I've been known for DentWoman for 15 years, just wondering. This explains why I've gotten some of the phone calls I've gotten. :)

Clearly there can be more than 1 woman who does dents!

Do you think a steelcage match is needed to sort things out?

Actually, I just use this name on this forum, i dont actually do business as "dentwoman".... :)

Obviously I realize there is more than "1" woman that does dents! And YOU might think that a steelcage match is needed to sort things out - but that's not how I operate, I have much more class than having to resolve issues by drawing someone into a steelcage match! I just smoke em' doing dents as a master tech! :)

The FACT is - I used to be a member on the Superior, No Dents Forum and I have in print all the postings I've ever made on their forums from years and years and years ago! I've witnessed them bring the forums up, bring them down, bring them up, change them, not have them, and now they have this new look that is really nice in my opinion. I love seeing more and more forums out there! And I've kept up with who Superior is for years. However, I didn't realize that there was this new forum look for Superior until I started recieving several phones calls asking me if I'm now with Superior, what the heck happened to me, etc and and asking for a spot at this storm you posted about needing two techs. We've been known from running some pretty fantastic, high volume, money making storms! Especially in the state of Texas, where I started in PDR in 1991.

I've promoted women getting into PDR for many, many, many years and still do!!! I'm a 12 year PDR technician and have been involved in PDR for 15 years. I've worked in every corner of PDR except owning a huge corportation. Which isn't for me and my family. I love having fun, living life and making lots of money to fund it all! I was just curious, as I clearly stated in my post of who took the Dent Woman name. I missed out on grabbing it back after having on the SUperior forums since they started forums. That's all. Want to know more about me and my company go to x.dentwoman.com

I wish you much success as a woman in this industry. I helped pave the way for many women who are now in this industry! And are darn proud of it!

euro hail rocks!

Postby TheDentWizSux on Mon Aug 06, 2007 4:51 pm

I dont know why anyone would push hail in the states for $800-$1500 a day when they could EASILY clear $3000 a day in the EU...
but of course you would have to sleep in another bed..tough choice..!

Not to sure what storms your talking about unless it was a few years ago. I have a work visa with a german company I've been working with for 5 years and in my opinion the european storms are only getting worse. Too many people going there after hearing bulls$@t stories of huge dollars. This year was a 6 week storm you had to work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day to try and clear $1000 a day

Hud- all depends on WHO you work for. If you work for DW, this might be true. We have an independant that has brought us very nice returns over the last couple of years...
Also the timing is crucial too as you know..first storm of the year tends to be a bit thin on money due to supply of avail techs...And as always, there will be whores who will drill out an entire car and crack paint for a 1/2 the rate of a solid tech, and some people will use them.
ps- if you havent already heard, recent ohio money was VERY strong....more than $1k a day, and less than 12 hrs per day:)

Yeah i know a few guys that were up there that did well but I was called to connecticut then the normal trip to germany. I have never worked for DW not that I wouldn't as they too have some great storms that pop up at times but always had other things on the go. I know you can make good money throughout the EU but in all my experiences you have to be well connected and over the last few years between every 2nd US guy and all the "iron curtain" dent guys showing up the competition is getting that much more and the money that much less. 5 years ago it was all about quality and now it's about price. Not how I usually do business. Same thing happened in Australia a few years ago but the government cracked down big time on how many guys were going in so now it's alot harder there also

eu quality

Postby PDRPRO on Tue Aug 28, 2007 4:43 am

that is probably the key...finding work that quality is measured. We had locations in Eu where they would check the work with 6' long poles with grease pencils on the end..and a mastertech would grade the work..so it had to be flat.
that takes car of any hacks...and keeps the price high...
Most italians, spanish etc couldnt push at that level..only a few germans, most usa and some au could manage the quality..
